I almost got kicked out of H.E.B. (local grocery store chain) today thanks to the awesome Operation Beautiful message. It was HILARIOUS.
I got chewed out by a manager that happened to see me putting a post-it up on the Jillian Michaels diet stuff…I stood there and took it, knowing that in the end, I was sending off a good message. So, since he ripped off the first one I couldn’t just let it slide…so I wandered around for like 20 minutes then when I saw him wander away, wrote another, ran over, posted it, took a picture and ran! Hah! I texted Caitlin immediately about the situation…we think I’m a first. Hahhahaha! Seriously, I can’t help but laugh and laugh and laugh!
I also posted another Operation Beautiful note on an Alli Package at Target. I didn’t get yelled at there.
Anyhow, I went off to Border’s first after I left with my lunch and all and got a good book that JerBear and I are going to be sharing in the near future. I’m about halfway through it already and as soon as I’m finished it’ll be sent off to her…We’re both going to be better and happier people after reading it.
I then wandered across the street to Whole Foods to get a few things…and then shot off to H.E.B. where I got chewed out. I had every intention of going to the movies to see Love Happens (which my brother suggested a few weeks ago, but then said I need to see Paranormal Activity…but by myself? No thanks!) but the theater I found in Houston wanted me to pay 3 bucks for parking! On top the ticket itself?!
Yeah right…so I started driving home and hit up Target…and instead of going to the movies, I picked up Made of Honor. And a few other treats…check out the shoes I tried on and so wanted to purchase with retail therapy in mind…but my non-existent paycheck mentality won out. I almost bought pretty cool hat and a pair of aviators, but passed on those too. I suppose in the end I saved myself $40!!!
I got home around dinner starving! Those miles (which btw, ended up being a total of 9.4 miles! Yeep!) finally started to catch up with me…So I baked nuked up a russet potato (sorryyyyyyyyy…I know we all know sweet potatoes are better, but I HATE THEM!) and topped it off w/ half a package of Tasty Bites Punjab Eggplant mixed with some spinach. Awesome!
And let me tell you, that thing is spicy! My lips were on fire! I couldn’t quite tell it was eggplant though…so buy again? Probably not. It had some ok flavors and a nice punch, but like I said, probably not again. Well, I guess I have to, since there is the other half of the package…hah! But here are the nutritionals for the product!
So while I’m watching my movie, I’m snacking on the rest of my WF popcorn with some WF chocolate pretzels mixed in. Yummers!
Hope you all have a good Monday (is that possible?)!

Yay you came to Houston again! I've been meaning to go to WF but have been holding off because I know I buy more than I need so I'm trying to use up all of the food I already have, but the one here has now started selling raw vegan cheesecake and I"m so psyched to try it!
The theater is truly ridiculous so I'm really picky with my movies, but let me know next time you come because there are other cheaper theaters like the River Oaks and the Angelika that show mostly indie or foreign movies along with a few of the popular ones out and they are I think $7 instead of $9 and free parking.
I love those operation beautiful messages! Such creative places to put them! Hope you're feeling better and have a great week!
I just have to tell you that you made my night. We went and saw Couples Retreat (which I thought was AWFUL) and I laughed harder reading your post on the way home than I did the whole movie.
You are such a REBEL with those OB notes!!! That should SOOO make Caitlin's book :)
AMEN!
I'm glad you persisted and got that note up! Hehe. Cute story.
Those shoes are adorable! Target has some good finds sometimes :)
I've always wondered if anyone has gotten in trouble for the Operation Beautiful notes! Glad you stuck to your guns and got another note up ;) Those shoes are SUPER cute
That is so funny slash lame that he freaked out! Cute shoes though, cough maybe xmas present?? :D
Hey lady! I can't believe you got yelled at so badly! Blech. I'm so glad that you went back and stuck it to them anyways. :) Yay for that.
I like your idea of putting the TastyBites Indian dinners on a potato (of any kind - I didn't know you didn't like sweet potato!). I always like the flavah of them but they're kind of watery on their own. A potato would be perfect! :)
Anywho, have a great day!
Props to you for putting up another post-it! What a lame grocer.
CUTE shoes!!! The fact that you got chewed out at that store is hilarious!!! LOL!
hahah you're such a B.A. w/the post its.. I love it. :) you're such a speedy reader! Is it humorous? I remember reading clips and thinking it was pretty witty. Also, your link to me is missing an 8, :p.
And I kinda love those heels. I always buy them thinking I'll convert to a girly girl, but stick to the chuck taylors in the end. :)
you are such a BAMF! and I kind of love you for posting it on Jillian Michaels.. or should I say Benedict Arnold? still can't believe she has a diet pill -- traderrrrrrrr!
