You Would Be EmbarrASSed Too…

If you looked like this after just a 20 minute run:

I mean, really sweat?  Thank goodness I never wear these shorts when I run out where there’s people…or I’d probably get some laughs. Seriously though, I sweat like a monster.  A 5 minute calm bike ride makes me sweat.  Walking too and from the laundromat (like 300 ft away!) makes me sweat!  Yes, there is humidity here in Southern Texas…but I’m like this at home too, where it’s dry as heck…and then after all the sweat dries off, you can see all the SALT LINES.  Hot, I know.

Anyhow…After my nice short morning run (2.5 miles, 22.01 minutes) I gobbled down my breakfast: strawberries, blackberries, jazz apple and greek yogurt.  Breakfast of champions!

I scanned the morning away and in the midst of it all did a bunch of strength training moves: 25 standing side leg lifts, 30 back leg kicks, 25 squats, 2o pushups, 50 crunches, 50 reverse curls, 50 bridge poses, 20 leg dip thingy moves…haha.

I kept my mind pretty occupied most of the morning and settled on lunch around noon: 1/2 red bell pepper, three carrots, and a 1/3 cucumber w/ sundried tomato hummus

And on the side a piece of Nature’s Pride Bread.  Love this stuff!

Today's total for birds was pretty sad: FOUR!  I know, astronomical right?  We’re hoping for a better flight this weekend when the front finishes moving through!!!

I had a snack before doing some of my own repairs at the tower: grapes (seriously, these babies are soooo crunchy and juicy!) and a Superfood Odwalla bar.

Then I finally got my lazy bum working on my bikeI got a flat yesterday so I had to leave it at work, which was why I ran this morning (hence, motivation to get home quickly without getting eaten by mossies!).  I did a fabulous job and was able to ride it home. All 2.5 miles of it. :)

After work I actually stayed at the tower for a bit longer so I could do more Strength Training: Repeat of moves from earlier, then add in 40 more pushups, 3 45 second planks, 25 laying side leg lifts, 25 laying inner leg lifts, 1.5 minutes of front punches, 1.5 minutes side punches, some yoga balancing moves, and some tai chi.  Then I biked home.

I was not feeling much for dinner so I had my leftover Indian food from Sunday Night, mixed with spaghetti squash and a Quorn Cutlet, on top of some spinach.

And of course some fruit on the side: peach and kiwi.

Now chewing gum, going to run and get dried laundry and clean sheets, and read up on your wonderful blog lives!  Ciao!

hahah I'm the same way! I get SO sweaty and gross. I also get RED. So people will be like "wow, you must have worked out so hard!"...even though I just ran like a mile :)

haha I sweat a lot too. And turn colors. Even if it's just hot in my house. Oh well! :) xo!

First, I'd just like to say that I love how hard core you are. If my bike had a flat I don't think I would know what to do with it (I blame it on my Dad and Brother - they've always been there to run too!). :)

Second, I'm also a sweaty girl! It can be quite embarrassing but at least I know I'm getting a workout in!

Have a great night Chica!

Haha cute post Melissa!

You make me want to work out so much more than I do! Too bad I am impossible to motivate now that I am done skating!!!!

Hurray for sushi the other day as well!!! I too wish I could visit Mara and Jenn and have a big Japanese feast. Someday!!

I love you Mama!

I'm definitely a prolific and salty sweater. We should get together in shorts that show off our sweating talent together. Hot? I think so.

When I was still in my sport, this girl would get boob sweat - sweat marks under her boobs. Haha! Sorry bout the sweaty situation!

that's so funny :) I'm sure I look pretty bad after some runs, too.

I love that superfood bar!

i love making entire new meals out of leftovers - somehow it always ends up more delicious than the original meal =)

Thankfully, I don't sweat much, but when I do it's around my bra line area. Nice, eh??

Love the new header, by the way!

Ugh I'm the same way. We are sweating sistas. There are certain shorts that I can't wear to the gym, or out in public to run unless it's dark-ish out. For some reason I always forget to account for the sweat factor when buying them and just get the cute colors. :p
