Cow Tipping? Nope, I Tip Port-a-Potties!

I had to share this picture with all of you from last week.  This fun stuff happened when the winds got up to almost 60 km/hr and the rain was almost horizontal! Goodness!

And then we tipped it…back up.  Thank goodness they had just cleaned it the day before otherwise…ew.  This is my only source of restroom when I’m at work, otherwise the nearest toilet is over 2 miles away!  Yikes!

Anyhow, today did not start off on a good foot as I would have liked it to.  Why?  I forgot my breakfast…where was my head? Oh yeah, still asleep of course.  Getting up at 6am instead of 7 like I’m used to is hard.  Luckily I’ve got less than two weeks of that!  hehe!  Thank goodness I brought enough extra food to feed an army…I always like my variety.  Enter: (what was supposed to be my pre-workout snack) banana, 1T pb and the last of my Cinnamon H2H.

Somehow this did not satisfy me for long, so I dug into my clif bar stash: chocolate chip and peanut crunch.  Eh…it was ok.  Would have liked a different flavor at that time!

Luckily that did hold me over for a while and I eventually dug into my lunch (what little of it there was, since I forgot the apple to go with it…yes, asleep this morning): ww bread w/ laughing cow, 1/4 smashed avocado, tomato, cucumber and spinach.

I knew the sandwich wasn’t going to hold me over till after my workout so I had a baggie of my homemade trail mix an hour before hand: vegan chocolate chips, cashews, cranberries, peanuts.

My workout felt awesome though!  After my blah day yesterday I was in need of something to get my blood running!  I started off by running around 3.6 miles, second half faster than the first, and then doing some strength training.  I did two sets (the second sets numbers are in parentheses)

  • 20 Pushups (25, then an extra 20)
  • 20 lunges (20)
  • 50 bicycle crunches (55)
  • 50 crunches (55)
  • 50 reverse curls (55)
  • 50 bridge poses (55)
  • 25 (laying down) side leg lifts (25)
  • 35 (laying down) inner leg lifts (35)
  • 1.5 minutes front punches (2 min)
  • 100 side punches (100)
  • 20 squats (25)
  • 20 windmills (25)

Whew!

I came home super thirsty and guzzled water like there was to be none left ever, then hoped in the shower to clean up as my spaghetti squash cooked up in the microwave cause I’m afraid to use the trailer oven.

Jen made some skewers for her dinner and had some leftover veggies and made one for me!  It had bell peppers, squash, mushrooms and onions.  Delish!

Then, I started on my delectable dinner: Spaghetti Squash Chik’n Parmesean

blog 020

Consisting of lots of spaghetti squash, marinara with extra broccoli and cauliflower, and a chik’n patty.  Sooooo good.  You may see this exact same thing in the near future…since I have lots of spaghetti squash now. :)

I did some emailing and such and snacked on a small handful of cashews before getting ready to hit my book and call it a night.  I’m exhausted!

11 more days till my first official 1/2 Marathon!! Sooooooooooo excited!!!!

I won't lie..I've tipped some port a potties over in my past. We thought it was fun in high school. Especially with one of our friends inside.

Eww, port-o-potty tipping sounds really gross. I'm glad it wasn't too stinky of an affair.

Your strength training routine was intense!

At least you weren't in the porta-potty when it tipped! That would have been tragic, for sure.

You have reminded me I have an avocado in the fridge that I need to eat. Mmm, avocado.
