And I Still Can’t Count

Did you see my Operation Beautiful Spree? It was so much fun!

--

Because unlike last weekend where I ran 1 mile extra, this weekend I ran one mile less. Seriously, I need a Garmin Forerunner. Santa? hint hint

Anyhow, I started off the morning with my normal pre-fuel breakfast, just with a variations of carbs: 1/2c H2H, 1T pb, apple

Then I was off, in the 45 F degree weather! Bleck! Lets just say that the first 6 miles were a bit of torture as my legs wouldn’t warm up and felt like frozen chicken thighs, and my fingers were frozen solid in a fist. Teaches me how to run in the cold eh? I finished off 11 miles at 1:45 flat…and now am a bit disappointed it was only 11! I so wanted to do 12! Oh well…there’s always NEXT WEEKEND!

I came back famished and whipped together the fastest lunch ever: veggie sandwich with artichokes (Erica inspired me!) and a banana smothered with 1Tb of natural pb and 1T TJ’s cranberry apple butter…seriously the best combo ever on a banana. Make sure to try it!

And I thought I’d share these fruits with you: Strawberries, from a TREE! Yes, and the name of the tree is Strawberry Tree. It’s actually really cool that they’re from Ireland! Makes me want to go back there and find some! Anyhow, while Em and I were on a walk yesterday she spotted these and we stole a bunch from the trees because she loves them…and so did I! They’re a bit mushy, and full of lots of seeds, but sweet if they’re ripe! If you’re ever able to try one, most definitely do!

Have you ever heard of them? Try one!

You still did great on the 11 miles! Sorry your legs were so frozy. I can't run when my quads are cold, I'm too scared of pulling them. Eeek! Hope santa answers your request. :)

more power to ya for running at all, girl! I refuse to go outside for longer than 10 minutes when it's below 50 degrees. I'm such a weather diva!

I gotta say that veggie sandwich and banana look so yummy. The cranberry apple butter is a cool addition to the banana. Sounds tasty.
