Brain Is Off

That’s how I’ve felt today.  I woke up a bit better, no body aches and such, but my face still hurts and I can’t breathe, but thank goodness I don’t hurt with every move I make!

Anyhow, I’ll entertain you (maybe) with my eats from today…cause seriously, did nothing interesting or worthy today of discussion.  All I can tell you, is Benchwarmers is a HORRIBLE movie…and I love how cheesy Lifetime Movies are. :)

I slept a bit better last night but did wake up for a bit and had some trouble falling back asleep.  Thank goodness I had a great breakfast planned with my very ripened bananas: Typical Simple Melissa Oats via Microwave (as always…I think they taste funky from the stovetop…is that weird?)

As even as two hours hit after breakfast, my tummy was rumbling for a snack.  Enter last night Blueberry and Dark Chocolate Bread w/ a tablespoon of PB.

Drool…

Two hours later my belly was rumbling, AGAIN, and thanks to the reassurance of Miss Faith Food and Fitness via Twitter and her momma, my metabolism is running wild since I’m sick, so I should be hungry.  That’s just what I wanted to hear. :)

I did go for a short walk outside just to clear my lungs/nose and get some sun (and sweat cause dangggg…I forgot how humid it gets in South FL, EVEN IN JANUARY) and returned with a very angry belly, so I fed it promptly.

I cooled off my body by starting off with a small bowl of frozen blackberries…

And then had some sweet potato fries (OMG LINDSEY!  Do you see what you’ve done to me!?  Sweet potato fries TWICE IN A WEEK!?!??!?!  MADNESS!!!), organic ketchup, and a Morningstar Farms Chick’n Patty w/ spinach and tomatoes.

I napped a bit regaining my energy and returned to a nice snack: some H2H with Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips, and a few Chocolate Covered PB Pretzel Nuggets hidden at the bottom.

Watched some pretty lame movies, went out to hunt down postage stamps (um Publix, why did I have to go to THREE STORES TO FIND A BOOK OF STAMPS!?), hit up Whole Foods (with only $29 and w/o my credit card so I couldn’t spend an infinite amount…lets save some money people!!!) and worked on my GIVEAWAY POST (coming tomorrow!!!) until dinner: 1/2 a cans of Roasted Vegetables Amy’s Soup w/ some leftover couscous, extra broccoli and cauliflower and an Arnold’s Thin on the side.

Now I’m going to get some reading done from In Defense of Food (which I’m really enjoying!  I don’t know why it took me so long to read this!) and conk out for the night.  I’m still tired…I hate being sick.

I hope you're feeling better today! That blueberry/dark chocolate bread looks like purse awesomeness. I haven't baked up a loaf of sweet bread in a bit...thinking it might be time again ;) I was just at WFs....it takes so much strength not to spend $100 in that store!

aww I'm sorry your not feeling well!! It's no fun being sick! Your eats are still delicious as always! as yes you should be eating more because your BMR is higher when you are sick because your body is trying to fight the infection, which requires additional calories. I hope you feel A LOT better today, keep up the rest and fluids chica! xoxo!

Hope you get to try some overnight oats again soon, I know they'll make you feel better ;)
