Airboats that is. Luckily this didn’t occur with all the sharp turns and raging I was doing:
Thank goodness I kept my airboat adventures to swerving around these for three hours and not sinking anything:
Unless you include my appetite. Some snacking occurred because I didn’t have a lunch packed (dumb-o that I am…underestimated how long we’d be out there…left at 10am, got back at 4pm! No lunch packed! Bad Melissa! Have you not learned from LAST YEAR!?)
Instead I was up here and having a freak’n blast. I love my job.
I was absolutely soar, sunburned, wind burned and famished by the time I got home and immediately dug into what I dubbed my very early dinner…4.30?
I started off with seriously, the best freak’n mango on the face of this planet. Maybe it was because it was organic? If that’s the case, hellooooooo to the other two that I have sitting on the counter, still ripening and waiting to be stuck in the fridge and eaten. My tastebuds are already screaming for it!
Then I had the best vegetarian version of a restaurant Chicken Cheese Sandwich ever. I commented to Danica from Danica’s Daily about a savory version to her Wafflwich she had the other day including a Morningstar Farms Chick’n Patty, Laughing Cow Cheese, Flax-honey waffles and veggies…and totally had to have it tonight. I didn’t have the waffles, so used an Arnold’s Thin instead and damned…I was in heaven.
Seriously, all I could mutter the entire time I ate was, “Food has never tasted so good.”
The rest of the evening I spent catching up on a few things, including phone calls to my family where they’re having TORNADO WARNINGS IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA.
WHAT?! Sorry people, but that totally doesn’t happen. Like, NEVER. Why do all the exciting natural/environmental things happen after I leave!?!? Boo.
Anyhow, since dinner was so early I spent the rest of the evening snacking on things like:
- a carrot
- two clementines
- a mug of warm cinnamon h2h and dark chocolate chips
- some cinnamon grahamz cereal
Can someone say Snackface? No shame peeps. No shame.
I’m excited for tomorrow cause I’m going to be doing this:

Air boat rides are so much fun! You have the best job ever! You seriously got me in the mood for mangos now. I can't wait for them to be in season so that I can get some from my neighbor's tree. :)

OMG - I made the savory wafflewich wrong :D LMAO. I used the Morning Star Veggie Sausage ha! I have chickpatties though so I am all over trying that next - maybe tomorrow for lunch - YUM!

Driving one of those airboats looks like a total BLAST! And that mango does look amazing. Last one I had was pale yellow and pale in flavour...BOO!

I love mangos, but I hate cutting/chopping them up...its worth the work though.
isn't it funny ho good food tastes when your hungry? I am trying to start packing my lunch the night before so that I don't have to worry about it as I rush outta the house in the morning.
