You know, I never thought I was ever going to come back here when I came last year with my ex…
Yet here I am again! Now I’m just making more new memories with new friends instead of trying to forget the ones that make my heart still/kinda hurt/break again…
Anyhow, I finally got to meet up with Amanda today for some brunch and farmers market fun on Lincoln Street! We walked around to look at the different booths and then settled on brunch/lunch at Books & Books (which btw Amanda, I found out after getting home that their lunch/dinner menu has an entire vegan section! We must try again!)
We both settled on a three egg omelette for our meal, mine with mushrooms, bell pepper and onions, with a side of dry toast, fruit and potatoes (which I didn’t eat).
We walked around and headed to South Beach to do some more walking and people watching…which also got me excited for the 1/2 Marathon in Miami next weekend! So crazy it’s come up so fast!
By the time I swerved my way through horrible Miami traffic and got home, I was ravenous and fixed up the quickest yogurt mess I could:
Which of course includes chocolate. How could it not?
I caught up with some friends (if you saw twitter you know more details) after getting back and since my snack after getting home was so late, I didn’t really have an inkling for a real dinner…so I snacked on some butternut squash fries I made last night:
And then some mixed cereal. And two unpictured carrots.
Random, no?
Well, hopefully some airboating will happen tomorrow if the weather cooperates…otherwise I’ll get some time to catch up with my new roommate who arrived today! Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Randomness works sometimes. I've never had butternut squash fries but I must look into that.. sounds good!
And girl, sorry about the bad memories. I completely get that. You just have to make new ones that are even better.. i'm in that process right now too :)
funny how life works out right? sorry thinking about your ex is still painful...but you are doing so many great thigns right now and i'm positive that many more lie ahead of you, no need to be tied down by a guy who doesn't treat you the way you deserve!
