Sushi Tutorial Success

What a fun night!  I’ve always only taught friends like Meghann and Bobbi how to make sushi on a one-on-one effort, but today it was six-on-one!  I felt like a real teacher!  I stumbled all over my directions!

While my coworkers were out bird watching I was at home prepping for all the yumminess about to ensue:

I steamed some asparagus and zucchini, cut up some cucumbers and carrots, then made 6 eggs and a block of garlic-soy sauce marinated tofu (just like the other day!)

I made two rolls with the insides included in the picture below:

Basically a little of everything. :)  Dipped in low sodium soy sauce.

DIVINE.  If I might say so myself.

Don’t we look like we’re having fun!?

Check out my teaching skills!!!!

I’ve got a nice relaxing day tomorrow…don’t have anything planned, so I might catch up on some enjoyable reading (instead of GRE’s…though I’m sure I’ll be studying anyhow).  Any suggestions what I should do!?  I’m thinking maybe some window shopping…who knows!

Aww, I am so sorry I missed this, it looks like a great time! I love the selection of fresh veggies and tofu, it looks delicious. :) I know of a couple of Asian markets, but they are kind of far from you. Worth it to go once in a while to stock up though.

You would be such a fun teacher to have! I think we need to have a blogger meetup where you show me sushi and I'll show you how to make chocolate

I can't wait until my sushi tutorial. :) I think this would be such a fun at home "date night" idea.
