Oh man, this job is going to work me like no other!
I must make this short as I have an early and long day tomorrow but I do have a few questions for all of you:
-I’m training for a 1/2 Marathon at the end of June, but I walk anywhere up to 5-10 miles a day. How do you think I should go about training? And eating for that matter?
-I’m going to have to invest in some warmer weather running clothes with the new area I’m living in (the mountains @~5,000ft.) and wanted suggestions for capri tights and tops, etc. It’s so cold up here, and in the winter it’s going to SNOW! I’ve never lived in snow that I can remember! I don’t know what I’ll do!?
-I’m moving into my new home (an apartment) hopefully by the end of this week. What should be the first real dinner I make for myself? I’m so tired of eating uncooked food from my fridge that freezes everything in there, including my hummus and strawberries (That was a sad incident this morning!).
Hopefully I’ll have a more entertaining post for you tomorrow and some food to boot! It’s hard with this new job food wise to take pictures and in all reality, I’m eating oatmeal every day for breakfast, bars and trail mix for snack, pb and apple/banana for lunch, and salads or take out for dinner. Not very exciting at all.
Hope you’re week has been off to a good start!

My thoughts (take them as you will!): try to keep the long weekend runs to keep you prepared for the race, but your weekday runs could probably be shortened according to time/energy, given that you're moving a lot during the day?
I love Lulu for their colder weather workout clothes, but they can be pretty expensive. Mind you, it gets so cold where I live that I don't ever stray out in the winter unless I have to! HA!
So, is this job more of a permanent type thing or will you be moving around again before long? Just wondering cuz you said you were getting an apartment and would be there during the winter. Either way, sounds like you are enjoying it so far!! :)
oooh I'm doing a hm at the end of june too! June 26th. How long are you going to be located there? I should start looking at races/visiting. :)
I'd definitely save your long runs for days you're not working, and maybe add an extra rest day into your schedule? It'll be hard to have fresh legs all the time with all that walking! I love North Face for cold weather running clothes...in the winter I always run in my fleece! Good luck with the move!
Hey lady! So glad to be caught up on you. Good luck with getting adjusted to the new job! I would probably say that you could definitely shorten your runs given all of your walking. Probably do longer runs on your days off? I have really nice Reebok cold weather gear - spandex-y top and pants.
I'm not sure that I can help you with those issues but as for the eating/running thing, just listen to your body!!!
Good luck girl!!
Hopefully your week is flying by! As far as gear goes, you can't go wrong with underarmour. It's a little pricy but it lasts so long...I've had my long sleeved shirt for like 3 or 4 years and it's still in great condition! It's worth it to invest!!
Good luck moving :)
