And Just When I Thought Everything Was Ok…

Everything blows up in my face.  Ok, it’s not that bad, but now I’m realizing how much I'm going to have to spend in the next month with purchasing a new computer (granted mine is just over 4 yrs old…but still) and two flights in the near future (Chicago for Healthy Living Summit and Portland for my 1/2 Marathon)…ugg.

Alas, the day went by and it was like normal…almost 12 miles of walking and lots of mind wandering which occurred…oh the disadvantage of being alone/not having anyone to talk to for extended periods of time.  Boohizzle.

Alas, i told you yesterday the same breakfast would occur.  This time I didn’t have the PB Puffs and just the Kashi cereals, minus the peach and just more berries (some somehow got smashed so i had to use them up before they molded!) with the obligatory pb.  Oh yeah.

Field work, water and blue skies…plus a mini clif bar for snack, and for lunch? An avocado/tomato/cucumber/lettuce sandwich on 6 grain bread with cherries and four of my Edamame and Dark Chocolate Raisin Cookies.

Upon returning home and starting on dinner I snacked on a fruit salad with a white peach, raspberries and blueberries…nom nom nom.  I should have added yogurt!

And then dinner happened!  I de-watered my tofu and spread some tomato/basil/garlic marinade on it to cook @375 for about 40 min, flipping half way through.  I also roasted up some asparagus and bell pepper with garlic, olive oil, salt and balsamic.

And to round it all out some roasted pine nut couscous by Far East.  I liked that it actually had pine nuts in it!

And dessert?  Of course…a handful of this chocolate-y goodness

I <3 my trail mix.

And now? I’m going to work on getting a new computer.  Ugg, I hate spending money…

I hate spending money too - ugh, so stressful! Your grilled veg look so good, it has been too long since I grilled or roasted asparagus

Ugh, dropping a bundle is the worst. At least a computer is a once in a few years expense, so you'll be done with it for awhile! That sammie for lunch sounds delicious...veggie sandwiches are so summery!

breath melissa..you are spending money on things that'll add value to your life: 1. new computer=less frustration and more blog posts (okay that only benefits me) and 2. going to portland and chicago will let you mingle with HEALTHY minded individuals who love YOU...which is great for your soul. :) Don't fret..it'll all be worth it.

It is pretty frustrating when you have to spend large quantities at once. IT takes so long to get the money, and it takes a second for it to leave.

The things you are spending money on all s ound like fun though!
