Dawn to Dusk

Wow it has been a freakishly long day in my little world…up at 4am…11 hour work day…gah.  Amongst other things.

Thank goodness I had this to come home to:

031

How could you not love this face?

032

I had a bad morning food wise and don’t want to look back on it because it’s gone, in the past and I’ve learned from it.

I was famished by lunch but barely made it to the kitchen to make myself the smoothie my body so “cooling-ly” wanted (ie it was a hot one today, like all of you guys on the east coast! yowzers!)

I blended together:

  • a frozen banana
  • 1/2c frozen raspberries
  • 1/3c frozen blueberries
  • 1/2C USVAB
  • big handful of spinach

012

Topped off w/ 1/3C TJ’s LF Almond Granola and a tablespoon of natural PB

I finished up a butt load of work and crashed out for 20 minutes on my bed…magazine glued to my drooled on face.  Oh yes, I just admitted I drool.  I know you do too; don’t deny it. ;)

I only walked about 2.5 miles this morning to check some things out in the field so I knew my legs would be fresh enough for a run this afternoon!  I was a bit hungry around 3pm so I had a cup of 6 Unsalted PB Pretzel Nuggest and 2/3c kashi h2h…and strawberries. Sorry you only get to see the aftermath.  Definitely tasty though!

017

After a bit of tummy settling time I went out for a nice 5 mile run!  I knew I ran it at a nice clip and very steady because I was huff’n and puff’n by the time I got home!  But boy did it feel good!  I’m so glad to be getting back to running as our walking surveys are winding down; I’ve got a 1/2 Marathon in less than two months!  Yikes!!!  I also did some light calastinics before jetting off to therapy which was hard and good all at the same time.  Just keep on keep’n on!

I was super hungry by the time I got home as you might have guessed and I had veggies on the brain!  Awesome mix of leftover roasted veggies from last night along with chickpeas and hummus, tomato slices and lettuce.

 022

And to cool off, a nice big juicy peach with frozen mango pieces

 026

Great end to the night!

Oh, and since when did Zac Efron grow up!?

I just saw a commercial for him in Charlie St. Cloud and I think I might have a new crush on someone…is it wrong he’s so young?  Hah!

Glad you moved on past the morning. That's the best we can do!
Gosh you are so active. I'm like a rock compared to you, haha. The only movement I do is basically riding to and from campus and walking to Trader Joes or around campus. Yikes!
The weather over here in Irvine is gross...it's overcast and drilled all over me this morning from like 8am-11. Wish we could give you some of this, haha.

<3 Floey

ps. I drool too! :)

I'm glad you're as in love with your cat as my husband and I are with ours! :) Also, really proud of you for the way you're going after counseling and just honesty - with yourself and with others. You're courageous and beautiful and strong! You are above your ED!

Oh gosh, I don't really like him but that picture... oh boy. If that's wrong, I don't want to be right ;)
Honey is just precious! And congrats on the run!
Love you girl!

Aw, Honey looks like she's getting bigger! She's growing up! Whenever I see Zac Efron or any other star that started out as a kid actor, I just can't imagine them as grown up. Especially with Shia LeBuf (or however you spell his name.) I still see him as the dorky little brother on Even Stevens!

It can be so hard when you have slip ups, but being able to let go and put it behind you shows you're growing.

And way to go on the run! Exercise always helps release tension.

I'm going to be honest here and tell you that cats aren't my favorite pets, but I forget that when I see your pics of Honey, she's so sweet (no pun intended) :)

Ah, Honey is so cute!

Don't worry about the Zac thing... I am 30 and just had a dream about that Jacob guy from Twilight last night... sigh.

im sorry about breakfast- take care of yourself. You are so active & it is hard with an ed because we all tend to restrict. I know you are strong/aware of all this though :) no worries. Your smoothie lunch sounds delicious!!

hope you have a great rest of your day <3

Hope everything is okay. Everyone has days that are harder than others, but the important thing is that you learned from breakfast, and that's what matters. Be strong.
And btw... I see what you see in Zach. Whew!
