Cold Weather Buying Time

Today I took advantage of the holiday and hit up Bakersfield with Whit to find me some good but cheaper cold weather gear!  I totally rocked the bargains and came home with a pair of running Adidas capris, long sleeve under armour, a yoga v-neck and a pair of Nike running shorts.  How much you ask? $45 total baby!  I totally know how to bargain shop…now if only I could do that for clothes that are more girly…

Anyhow, our morning started off nicely when I showed up and insisted on making Whit French Toast, as he hadn’t had it in years.  Um, favorite meal in my book!

Obviously mine didn’t look like that, but quite similar…just imagine some pb smothered all of that to substitute the maple syrup, cause I hate that stuff.

We digested by shopping before heading out in the perfect running weather to do a 6.6 mile run!  Man was that hard, since I haven’t been running much with my knee out of commission and no flat areas to run on!  It definitely felt good to get a nice sweat session in though!  I miss my running!

After cleaning up we were both absolutely famished, as it had been a good 4 hours since we ate!  I knew I wanted fro-yo after lunch and since TJ’s was in the same shopping center…I suggested their to-go meals for lunch!

Of course I picked up one of my favorite to-go choices: Southwestern Salad. Have you ever had Cojita cheese?  That stuff is awesome and super tangy!  I added about 1/2 the dressing it came with and was satisfied to the max.

Whit had some sort of chicken wrap with a ginger beer on the side

Then we headed over to get my fro-yo!

Oh goodness it has been too long since I’ve had any.  I got pb and vanilla, and believe me when I say that cup is not as big as it looks.  It was a small, I swear!

We hung out and watched Up, since I had never seen it, and absolutely loved it!  I love cartoon movies that can make me laugh like that one did, along with others like Despicable Me.

I had to head home and as soon as I got there I couldn’t make dinner and eat fast enough!  I was starving after that almost 7 miler earlier!

To be quick I cooked up a black bean burger and wrapped it all up with the rest of my roasted cauliflower, mustard, lettuce and tomatoe.  Hit the spot. It totally needed cheese though.  Should have added some that I got at TJ’s today.  There’s always tomorrow…

Along with the two handfuls of pb filled pretzel nuggets I had afterwards.  I’ve been lacking in the pb department lately so I’m back at it!

Helloooooooooooooo Whit.

I'm trying my hardest not to say something that objectifies that gorgeous boyfriend of yours.

You are two beautiful people. That works. :)

I think if you had longer at Loehmann's you could have found some more bargains on girly clothes. :)

Whit, eh? What a catch Melissa!!! :)

Noah forgot to pack his under armour for an out of town game today and I had to find a mall in a strange city to buy some on the fly! :/

The salad looks really yummy. I like South Western flavours.

Hope your weekend is going well!

Well, unlike Mama Pea, I have no problem objectifying your gorgeous boyfriend. Nice work, Melissa :)

So I remembered again today that I was going to visit your blog lots and lots and lots of times so that you can make tons of money on ads. (I know, I kind of failed at that task, but I will visit 5 more times tonight to make up for it. Then I will forget for a couple of months. Then I will visit two times, then forget again...)

It appears as though you found a local of the opposite sex to hang out with. I have to admit that I am kind of jealous that your local is so much hotter than mine was. (Yes I do realize that I am the only guy posting about this, but I am ok with that. Sometimes saying the truth makes a person slightly uncomfortable, but you can't argue with the truth.) But then you did have more than twice as long to pick one out. (Yes, locals are exactly like pieces of fruit. You pick them off of trees.)

I never did get my glasses, but it's alright because it finally pushed me to get contacts. I am still sad about the waterbottle though.

Hey, could you do a post about your favorite Thanksgiving side dishes? I think that you could come up with something cool that I can steal and pass off as my own, if it's ok with you that is.

Feel free to e-mail me sometime. I think you have my address. If not, it's *******@*****.***.
