[[ Sorry for the delay in my posts! Everything was rushed at the end and I felt like I was getting sick, so I’m sure you understand! ]]
Out of all the things Foodbuzz was holding this weekend, the Tasting Pavilion was the one I wanted to hurry up and come the most! I’m not one for dressing up so the Street Food Fair and Gala Dinner were not as exciting to me…but the pavilion?
Eternal.Foodie.Heaven.
Tasting started as soon as I walked through the entrance…caramel popcorn anyone?
Frog Hollow Farm Pears.
Best.On.This.Planet.
Someone’s mini quiche-like recipe they won for the Nature’s Pride contest…this is Monica’s leftovers…only took a bite. Was kinda bland.
I would love to find these pineapples for the field! They didn’t taste completely fresh, but better than canned! And that salad? The quinoa was a great addition!
S’mores…I could only stand there and drool…no marshmallows for this chick.
A different kind of toffee..butter crunch treats. I loved the one that had granola and pistachios in it! I could have eaten them forever, thank goodness I stuck to just two samples!
I have never tasted cookies so good and doughy in my life. I wanted to steal the jars away from Annie the Baker.
Peanut Butter Extreme and Chocolate Chunk?
You can bet I got samples of the Toffee Milk Chip and Cocoa Loco to take home…I can tell you now, those were freak’n awesome too. I want these for Christmas. LOTS.OF.THESE.
This Butternut Squash and Apple Soup and Savory Shortbread will be making a visit to the blog very soon. I absolutely loved the flavors in this…even though there is apple. Not a fan of sweet-savory but this one rocked.
This ice cream from Three Twins ties the knot with Annie the Baker’s Cookies for best sample at the pavilion.
I have never had such great mint chip ice cream in my life. There are no words. Everyone can attest to it.
I finally got to meet some fellow SoCal foodie bloggers!
I have heard of Alexia before but have always found their fries to be too expensive when I can make my own at home. But I tried 5 different varieties, several of which are not even out on the market yet, and now I am willing to splurge on these.
Holy.Freak’n.Awesome.
And Mission Mini’s was back to finally give me my chocolate fix.
A bite of each: Banana Maple Glaze (veggggannnnnn)…
Red Velvet, Double Chocolate and unpictured Ginger Carrot.
Thank goodness for sweets. I might die without them.
What? Flavored pistachios?
Tasty tasty jam…
70% chocolate and Dark with Cacao Nibs…tasted like bananas. What the what?
If there is one additive I like to everything, other than cinnamon, it’s vanilla. I’m a vanilla snob. I buy the expensive stuff and use way too much of it. The Pear Vanilla Jam made by Napa Farmhouse 1885 was so filled with vanilla there were chunks.
See the specks? Now that’s how I roll.
There was a fish taco station but obviously I didn’t have that…how could you eat that face?
Ok, well maybe some can.
No shame. Alas, I piled on the salsas, cojita cheese, corn relish, guac and lots else to make a vegetarian taco version…so tasty I ate it even though stuffed.
Ahhh…one of my favorite people…Annelies!
In the end…we were stuffed and well, stuffed.
I had the greatest roommates this weekend.
I mean, how are we not so cool?
Next up…Gala Dinner and 4 courses. First time in my life that’s happened. Just wait for it.

Holy. CRAP. If I didn't love you, I would hate you.
Those COOKIES!!! OMG.
I love that picture of the So Cal bloggers. So awesome! Can't wait to get together again.
omg. I kept scrolling down and there was more goodies!! SO JEALOUUSSS. I wanna go next year for sure!!! Did you get to buy any of the food or did you snag any coupons?
Suggestion for that butternut and apple soup...instead of just stock, use a few cups of apple cider in the base. And maybe throw in some potatoes if you don't mind a chunky version (having no blender, I can't make mine a smooth soup). I've been mildly obsessed with winter squashes of all kinds this fall. Mmmm...squash. And those cookies look pretty fantastic!
This is my first time on your blog so I just wanted to say hi! Looks like you had a great time along with everyone else and of course all the food looks amazing! Thanks for sharing!!
I have so enjoyed everyone's recaps! :)
It was really nice meeting you. And I made it into a picture? I feel blessed. Also, I'm sad all that food is so far away from me.
Melissa!! It was so great to meet you last weekend!! I'm so bummed...I think I was the only person to not try the ice cream!!!
