Oh man…my appetite was back with a vengeance today…FOR CHOCOLATE. Not a good thing when you’ve gone a few days without anything really sweet…yikes. And when you’re trying to make your Peppermint Oreo Bark for all the readers/bloggers who have seen it on the blog…belly ache.
I tried to start the day off on a good foot with a nice hearty meal, but that only lasted so long…
Same ol’, same ol’ apple pb cranberry oats. Sorry for the repetition…which you will see throughout my day, but it comes with the territory when you’re a field worker.
My stomach was actually growling mid morning so I snacked on this blood orange and might have also had a dark chocolate covered TJ’s Joe-Joe…oh yeah.
Then I stared off into this…
Like I said, repetition: same eggplant laughing cow veggie sandwich from yesterday. I promise tomorrow will be different, since I don’t have any more eggplant. See, you’re in luck! I also had it with a golden blush apple.
I was feelin the mid-afternoon slump and the only thing that might keep me awake was the emergency Dark Chocolate Chip Annie’s Dough Ball in my lunch bag…nom nom. Wakey wakey!
And I was especially excited when the day turned from darkness and cold to clearer skies, a slight breeze and some sun. Ahhh…I love the sun!
I don’t have any pictures of the eats I had when I got home so I’ll just make a list for ya…cause it’s not that exciting anyhow:
- Organic Sweet Potato (straight from the farmer people; props of having a boyfriend who works in the agricultural business!) roasted with ketchup for dipping.
- Two handfuls of dry roasted cashews from Oh Nuts!
- Piece of Peppermint Oreo Bark
- Small bowl of TJ’s Fiber Oh’s with Almond Breeze
And now I’m ready for bed. It’s going to be a crazy weekend of travel with Whit so I need to get geared up for that! The laundry is done so all that’s left is packing and finishing making Christmas Desserts and Goodies!

Wait a second, please tell me you haven't been hoarding that Annie's dough ball since Foodbuzz?!?!
I have been crazy for chocolate today too. I made double chocolate cookies with peanut butter chips. Dangerous!
But also so delicious!
I envy your blood orange, i love those!
I wasn't even thinking abt chocolate until you mentioned it. Darn it. This is why you don't read food blogs at 2 a.m.
I don't mind repetition, especially with something as perfect as warm oats or eggplant! (:
And I love your nature scenes, keep those up! (Earth & Environmental major here.)
My appetite for chocolate is always there with a venegance. And um, dough ball? JEALOUS. I need to make Mama Pea's version again...
I haven't had a blood orange yet this season. That needs to change ASAP!
I wish "blood oranges" had better names. It always sounds so...barbaric to eat one.
I have been on SUCH a chocolate kick lately. I woke up today craving it so I mixed choc protein into my PB + banana oats. I topped it with some raw cacao nibs. It was actually pretty satisfying :)
have a great weekend!!! And...can't...stop...staring at your oreo bark....
I haven't seen blood oranges at the store yet - but I've been eating my fair share of clementines.
I went about a week and didn't eat much chocolate. Thats all it lasted.
Safe travels this weekend!
Mmmm chocolate! I've been craving a lot of peanut butter lately! Hmmmm
