The storm is a come’n! Oh wait, it’s already here:

Whoa nelly we are in for it. Thank goodness I have this to keep me warm:
I think…?
Anywhoooo…My day started off later than normal because I had to meet my boss, so I got to eat my breakfast at home instead of in the field! Too bad it’s been so cloudy that the lightning doesn’t make for good food photos.
Apple oats with two kinds of pb and cranberry spread. nom nom nom.
My stomach was a mess all day long so eating was more of a chore than a necessity. I need this funky stomach bug to go away, like, NOW. I want to eat in peace!
I actually felt a bit of hunger late morning, well, it was more like “you can’t feel you’re hungry because your body hates you, so instead the signal for hunger is PAIN.” I noshed on this Berries O’Mega Odwalla bar…which always reminds me of a Fig Newton for some reason. Still tasty!
Birding became quite the predicament as the clouds were so low in the mountains I couldn’t see anything, or hear because the wind was gusting badly! Alas, I sat on the side of the road and had my awesome veggie sandwich and apple for lunch:
By the time I got home after all day in the field I was so hungry (w/o feeling it) that I was ready to crash so I had a bowl of kashi h2h for a snack before my run…my nice easy run. I headed to the gym because the wind was too hard to run in, and did a nice 4 miles at 10 min a mile. Just what I needed after driving in the car all day long!
I met with my boss for dinner and we went to the same Japanese restaurant I went to with Whit a few weeks ago and had the same thing: Vegetable Roll and Seaweed Soup. I love that soup. I want to make it every day for myself!
And the day can’t end without chocolate, right? I don’t care if I can’t feel my hunger, there’s always room for chocolate:
I got a gift certificate to Oh Nuts! so I used it on some dried kiwis after seeing them on Meghann’s blog, and had a chocolate covered pb joejoe on the side. Oh yeah.
Now it’s time to research for work and my health…damned stomach.

You got the Joe Joe's! Amazing, right :)
Aw I hope you feel better soon!!! :)
Food looks tasty, as usual! :)
This is probably a ridiculous question, but I'm a new reader of your blog. What do you do on the field? Is this your job, a hobby...both?
ahh your breakfast looks AMAZING! and i LOVE the two kinds of pb in there!
I gotta have that sandwich, soup and Joe Joe's!!! You had quite a day! Great post and photos.
"I don't care if I can't feel my hunger, there's always room for chocolate." A-FREAKING-MEN!!!! Story of my life right there. We're soulmates, clearly.
i forget you have a boss...hahahahahaha! I want sushi in the middle of the week!!
Feel better soon! That storm looks ominous.
I am drooling over those cookies - I wish I had a trader joes near me!
Sorry about the stomach bug, hope it goes away soon. The veggie sushi roll looks great and chocolate is always a great way to end the day. :-)
Those clouds can't be bringing anything good!!
Hope you're feeling better!
Gah! Melissa, I tried using my OhNuts gift certificate on their website, and for some reason it won't pick up the # that they gave me -- or somethign is wrong with the website and it just doesn't process. It's been giving me trouble for the past week :(
How did you get your gift certificate # to work?
