Aloha

Believe me, I wish I had been in Hawaii this weekend.  Cause it was a tad bit chilly…Does having a boyfriend from a Hawaiian island count?!

Did you guys miss me?! I felt so deprived of my blogs all weekend!  This evening is the first real time I’ve been able to sit down and read any of them since last Thursday night!  Yikes!  But don’t worry, google reader may be off it’s rocker but I plan on reading every single entry…Ok, I’ll try my hardest at least!  And to comment!

Alas, wanna know what I did this weekend? Cause it was filled with lots of stuff…and since I’m in no mood to type a bucket load of words (besides, bullets are so much more fun) I’ll just give you lots and lots of pictures!!!

Friday Night:

~Travel through mountains to the beach and eat TJ’s for dinner.  Who needs restaurants?!

(OMG Monica you were so right; that egg white salad is freak’n awesome.  I mixed it in my salad and was in heaven!)

Saturday Morning:

~Wake up at the butt crack of dawn to get to the beach for good parking.  Tease Whit about his commitment to surfing in 52*F water by wearing all this crazy wetsuit pieces.

~Take off along the beach for the first time since April in Florida for a long run while boyfriend plays in the water.

~Finish 9 miles as your last run before my 1/2 marathon in Phoenix with Jenn and Jill in SIX DAYS!!!  Then take pictures of Whit looking funny as he runs in a cold, wet wetsuit.

~Rush back to hotel to shower and warm up then insist on breakfast for lunch at Mimi’s even though it’s more for a crowd older than…us.

~Spend time waiting for parents to arrive to take me to a wedding and shop at the mall…and let Whit convince me to buy dresses at full price…which I NEVER EVER do.  I’m a bargain girl all the way.  Then wear one of those said dresses to the wedding instead of the one brought to wear.

~Arrive at the wedding just in time…and thank god the sweater I thought I didn’t need was in the car because it was cold.

~Admire the scenery and setup for the wedding…and reconnect with family.

~Rage with jealousy that the groom and groom’s men get to wear tennis shoes and I have to suffer in open toed heals.

~Clap and smile as my cousin gets married to her long time sweetheart!

~Take advantage of the candy bar and fool around like little kids.  Ok, we’re still kids.

~Then stuff my face after only having breakfast/lunch after those 9 miles!

~Keep on being a kid…

~Thank goodness I had my flip flops in the car.

~Lots of family photos…like the new dress? It was way too short.  Omg I could barely sit!  Haha!

Sunday:

~Prepare for a partyyyyyy with the family!

~Eat veggies and fruit to my heart’s content.  Have cashews randomly throughout the day for protein.

~Celebrate a late Christmas with Mom’s side of the family and use the boyfriend as my present holder.

~Take family and couples shots.  Poor brother, his girlfriend is over 7,000 miles away!  The snow will suffice for now.

Monday Morning:

~Return home to my first Abundant Harvest all organic and local box of fruits and veggies!!! (How’s that for $22?!)

~Head out into the field with a 20lb backpack filled with batteries to hike through the desert for 8 miles…my shoulders hurt.

~~

And now…sleep.  Long weekends just kick my butt!!!
