Oh Saturday morning what you bring me…
1. I live by the motto, “If it’s yellow, let it mellow…if it’s brown, flush it down.” Saving the world one flush at a time.
2. I love folding laundry, doing dishes and vacuuming. It’s one of the most relaxing activities ever…and feels clean.
3. I’m terrified to have children.
4. I have over two dozen vegetarian cookbooks and have used approximately 1 out of every one…having owned them for years.
5. I am still always worried about food. Every.Single.Second.
6. I won’t touch an unpeeled banana. The texture totally creeps me out.
7. I hate making dinner. I think it’s the worst meal of the day. Every meal should be breakfast.
8. I have a faint obsession with smooth skin. I go crazy when I get cut and have a scab/scar that prevents that.
Confession? Let it out!!!

I wasn't terrified to have children until I had to babysit three yesterday and now I'm wondering why anyone would do it.
Having a kid isn't nearly as terrifying as I had thought. It so much different when it's your own.
I used to do the "if it's yellow let it mellow" rule, but my husband cannot stand it, so my marriage trumps my love of the environment :)
I also believe that yellow deserves to mellow. :) I have been teaching for 6 years and after my first year I began to have doubts about having children. Everyday I see first hand how much work it is to raise them. However, within the last two years I've started to go back to wanting children again.
I love cleaning on Friday nights (dork alert!) After a long week, it is very relaxing to clean up the house while jamming to some music.
Amen to the dinner comment! By that point in the day I am soo exhausted. I LOVE COOKING BREAKFAST though :)
Children are terrifying- but that could just be a mom talking whose baby got up entirely too early today ;) Usually, she's adorable.
I've been a teacher for 11 years, love kids, but don't want to have them. Ever. I would adopt, though, but not right now. Gotta enjoy my 20's while I can!
I for sure do the mellow yellow bit, especially at night -- I'd be a little embarassed if an unexpected visitor popped in.
Popped looks a bit like pooped. gross.
My confession is that I put a bit of salt in my tea, instead of sugar. And a half spoonful of oatmeal, sometimes.
I confess that I think you are really cool. :o)
I have approximately 10389284081 cookbooks and have used approximately one recipe from them.
My apartment is almost always a cluttered mess and I think about cleaning it all day long, but never do.
I LOVE folding laundry and doing dishes. It's so relaxing and I love sweeping for the same reason. Haha I second you on dinner. I always have trouble figuring out what to make and at least once a week opt for breakfast dinner.
Confession: I just watched Grease for the first time
Ditto on letting the yellow mellow...even if it creeps out my roommates :) I also love to do laundry, wash dishes, and organize things.
Confession: I was tired & FREEZING and totally went on a 1000+ calorie food binge last night. Oops!
Haha I have tons of cookbooks that I haven't made ANY recipes out of, so don't feel bad. I also have intense fears of having kids, and a lot of it is being pregnant and gaining weight, as superficial as that is, it's a very real fear for someone who has an ED or any other food issue.
And as for #1... if you're saving water, more power to ya :). I honestly do that a lot at home myself.
A.L.
I confess that I can't sleep if I haven't cleaned my dishes and feel really uncomfortable if people walk on my left hand side D:
Hmmm, I confess that I don't like to read blogs with people who are at different stages in their lives. In general, this means that I don't read blogs by people with children because it freaks me out. I also don't read blogs written by people in high school.
I am also terrified to have children.
Bananas also freak me out.. but I try to eat them...
Yes. Breakfast really should be every meal of the day.
I dont think I had anything but fruit yesterday. muauaha :)
and yogurt/oats/pb!!
oh..perhaps some carrots
Whoa, I'm scared to have kids too! I dislike practically all kids now, and the thought of birthing is horrifying to me.
As for breakfast, you are speaking my language! That's what every meal should always be :-)
Totally feel you on #5 mehh
I agree with your #1 all the way!!!
I don't LOVE doing dishes and washing laundry, but I definitely don't mind doing them. Totally relaxing. Vacuuming, however - I hate it! I always leave it for Mark. Same with taking out the trash. ;)
