Breakfasts

It’s the weekend!  Yay!

It’s been a tough week for me, hence the lack of posting, or posting food really.  I really appreciate the kind and encouraging words on my Dear Mind, Love Your Body post, along with more and more emails and comments (I read them all, even if it is over a week later!) on 2nd Puberty.  It has definitely helped me through the tough moments and keeps a smile glowing on my face!

But in all of that, don’t forget to enter $50 iHerb Giveaway and to stay tuned about all the fun things to come with my Run for the Environment Fundraiser!

Anyhow….spring is here!!!  Do you see it!?

Pretty…even in the desert!

And the only food pictures I have for you are breakfast…for some reason.  Oh well…

Who cares about my breakfasts though!  Check out my organic produce box for this week!!!  The green garlic (that looks like scallions) tastes sooooooo good and I’m excited for the cilantro! There just might be a Mexican theme to my food this week!!!  And see the other greens? Fava greens?!  You can eat them raw!  I had to wash them immediately though since it was covered in BUGS!!!  Tells you it’s organic!

Now I’m off to the other part of the mountains to a friend’s house where my dad’s gonna work on a tree and I’m gonna get in a good hilly 6 mile run!! Yay for hills!

I've been having a rough week as well. School. Stress. Never knowing when to eat or how much. Feeling frustrated with myself. Anxiety vs. "I have to be healthy and eat a good amount of food in normal portions." But then having a completely skewed view of what is normal.

Bleh! Going out to the field tomorrow, so hopefully I'll get a nice work out, lots of work done, and feel better about my workload and hunger pangs.

Just sharing my worries & plans because they seem to resemble yours, so hopefully you'll feel better. Your pictures are beautiful - both food and field.

Best of luck with running!

Oh, cilantro! I got a huge bunch from my CSA a couple weeks ago and made the most delicious pesto out of it. Yum. It's always so exciting to see what you get.

Ooh, cilantro is the best. It adds SO MUCH to any Mexican dish...especially guacamole! Crazy I know but it's so good!

What is the "box" that you get of produce? Is it like a business that delivers?

I seem to be into blueberries, too lately! And isn't it the best to see the first signs of flowers peeking through the soil?
