Yep, I should become a professional at this:
What would life be, without a few flat tires right? We all know how good I am at changing them!
I bought this a bit back in hopes it would help me if I ran into a flat in the field and would have to drive ridiculous miles to get to the tire shop but alas, the damned thing didn’t work! Well, I might not have followed the instructions fully (drive a few miles to evenly distribute the inflatable substance) but I was on a bumpy/hilly dirt road and that won’t work at all! Gah!
So I finally decided to just change the tire and put on the spare. Talk about dirty work! I was covered in so much dirt I hardly recognized myself! But I went from the above picture to this:
(What? You don’t carry random huge pieces of plywood in your trunk? Oh, just me? Well, better for balance for the jack!)
To this! And I totally torqued the lugnuts using my body weight and the wrench…worked like a charm. Not an easy task getting them off though…like whoa.
But man was it a workout! I woke up this morning exhausted and just noshed on a small bowl of cheerios, mixed Attune cereals and a banana with almond breeze…
But by the time I finished working on that tire I was famished! Sadly I didn’t bring a very filling lunch but hey, gotta go with what you got, right? PB Pita and a pear. Cadburry Eggs followed of course…I like to reward myself for being able to change a tire ok?
Birding was enjoyable in the morning as I got some awesome species coming through, enough that I had to use an abundance of different colored pens on my maps…like my makeshift pen holder? Yeah, I was in a hurry to write everything down…
I lazily watched the sky all afternoon, snacking on some blueberries then finally got to head home and fix the car, then finish off work and woot, start the weekend!!!!
Of course I was famished so I shot straight to the fridge in an effort to refuel my tired body! I got a new product last weekend and couldn’t wait to try it! I was going to go with TJ’s Meatless Meatballs to go with my leftover soup tonight but figured I’d try these instead! Man are they delicious! I love any of the stuff that’s breaded when they make these products…great job Gardein on your Crispy Tenders!
I paired three of those with some soup, and then snacked on some popcorn while working on paperwork before getting to the best part of the evening.
COOKIES. Of course I’m lame and don’t have a picture of them, so use your imagination…and that half of the pb and dark chocolate chips didn’t actually make it into the batter and into my mouth…they were just calling my name! Haha! There may also have been a dessert cake made after the fact that could make it’s way to the blogger get together I’m going to tomorrow…watch out my friends! The chocolate and pb is coming! HAH!
I’m tired and had a more interesting post for you, but I can’t quite think straight so until later…What are you up to this weekend? Anything fun and exciting?!?!?!

GO YOU for changing a tyre!! I know that if I had tried to do it I would have failed miserably. It's a useful thing to be able to do :P

I know who I'm calling if I ever get a flat!! I know how to do it in theory, but I feel like if it ever happened I'd freak out and forget everything. I snap under pressure, haha!!
I would have no idea how to change a tire - good for you!
I LOVE Gardein crispy tenders - so delicious and great ingredients. Their beefless tips are great too.
I am SO IMPRESSED that you changed your tire. I would have no idea where to start. You deserved those chocolate chips!
That is so good you know how to change a tire! I definitely do not know how, that's where Triple A comes in! haha
I am so so impressed. I would have NO clue what to do if I got a flat tire. I am pretty useless when it comes to cars. It's kind of sad.
Can't wait to see you and eat cookies tonight!
