Oh boy. I think the 45-50 hour field work weeks are starting to catch up with me. Getting up today was not as easy as it had been the past two weeks. Nor was staying awake all day for that matter…heh.
Alas, 5:45 and I was up, eating my oatmeal in my tad-bit-chilly apartment.
Sorry, I know, same apple pb oatmeal I always have, but it’s been a while and I wanted warmth!
Bird watching commenced and a few hours later I was hungry so I grabbed my strawberries and kids zbar for a late morning snack.
I admired the wildflowers and birds all around me before hitting the road again, just in time for lunch upon returning home. I may or may not have had a few mini cadbury eggs to keep me awake on the long drive home.
I pre-made a veggie hummus sandwich and paired them with this sample pack of FALAFEL CHIPS I got at the Natural Products Expo. Yes, the chips are made of falafel and I might have added them directly to my sandwich…so tasty. Though I wish they had a little more spice to them.
Mid afternoon I snacked on a PB Chip Banana Muffin along with some carrots and hummus before passing out on the couch reading up on work. Oops. I finished when I woke up, don’t worry. Honey helped.
Since I ran long yesterday I used today as an active recovery day and did the P90X Core Synergistics DVD along with a 45 minute session of some awesome yoga. I knew the yoga session was good because by the end I could touch the ground just bending over along with holding my toes sitting down and reaching for them! The later has not happened in YEARS! Yay!
I gave a smoothie in a bowl a thought for dinner but since I had the window open working out and during yoga where I started to cool down, I was too cold for it, so I settled on a salad. I nuked the last of my leftover roasted potatoes with a veggie portabello burger and topped it on a spring salad. Hit the spot on freshness!
Now I’m off to relax and go to bed early…I need all the rest I can get!

Yay for yoga! I've been working it into my routine twice a week and I am loving it. Also, falafel chips sounds amazing. To say that I looooove falafel would be an understatement.
Awww, love the kitty pic!
Hmmm! I need to try those falafel chips! Where can I get them you think? I thought I was the only adult who ate those z-bars! hahah so good right?
Good job with the yoga! I used to do it in college but it got expensive :( I gotta stick to my pilates vids for awhile.
Apple pb oatmeal, pb chip banana muffin, veggie portabella burger--can you be my own personal chef? Everything looks amazing!
